What we collect
When you send a service request we collect the details you type into the form: your name, phone number, town or ZIP code, and what you need help with. Optionally your email address, preferred contact method and a description of the problem.
Alongside the request we store the page you sent it from, the time it arrived, and a one-way hashed version of your IP address. The hash is used only to limit how many requests a single connection can send in a short window, which is what stops the form being abused. It is not reversible and is not used to identify you.
What we use it for
Responding to your service request, and arranging a visit. That is the whole purpose.
Requests are emailed to the business owners and stored on this website so there is a record of what was discussed.
What we do not do
We do not sell your details. We do not send marketing based on a service request. Asking for help with your HVAC is not consent to be marketed to.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. Nothing is stored in your browser to track you between visits or across other websites. Cookies are set only if someone signs in to administer the site, which is not something a visitor does.
Other companies involved
Being straightforward about what loads on these pages:
- Housecall Pro. The Request Service buttons take you to a booking page run by Housecall Pro. That is a different company on a different website, and anything you enter there is covered by their privacy policy rather than this one.
- Trustindex and Google. Where Google reviews are displayed, the review content and reviewer images are loaded from Trustindex and from Google. Those requests come from your browser to those companies.
- Our web host. This site is hosted on Hostinger, which processes requests to the site in the ordinary course of serving pages, including standard server logs.
Fonts on this site are served from this website rather than from Google Fonts, so viewing these pages does not send a request to Google for typography.
Analytics
No analytics service is currently active on this site. If one is added, it will record how pages are used rather than who you are: names, phone numbers, email addresses and the content of your message are not sent to analytics.
How long we keep it
Service requests are retained so we have a record of work discussed and carried out.
Seeing or deleting your information
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Call or text (615) 400-4993 or use the contact page and say what you would like. We will need enough detail to find the right record, which is usually the phone number you gave us.
Deleting a record removes our history of the work discussed, so if there is an active job we will confirm with you before removing anything.
Children
This site is aimed at homeowners arranging HVAC work. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear here with a new date at the top. This page describes the data handling actually implemented on this site.
