$139. We come out, inspect the system and tell you what we find. It is a fixed price, so the cost of getting an answer is knowable before you pick up the phone.
The fee is waived when you book the repair with us. If the work goes ahead, the $139 comes off.
Why we do not publish prices for the work itself
Because we would be guessing, and a guess you plan around is worse than no number at all.
Two houses with identical symptoms routinely need very different work. A straightforward component swap in an accessible utility closet and the same repair in a tight crawl space are not the same job. Quoting either from a phone call means one of two things: a number padded enough to cover the worst case, or a number that gets revised upward once someone actually looks.
We would rather look first and then give you a real number.
What actually drives the cost
- What failed. A capacitor and a compressor are not in the same conversation.
- Access. The factor homeowners underestimate most. Equipment in a standing height basement and identical equipment in an 18 inch crawl space are genuinely different jobs.
- Equipment selected. On a replacement, capacity, efficiency and staging all move the number.
- Scope beyond the equipment. Electrical supply, venting, condensate handling and duct modifications can all form part of the work.
- The ducts. New equipment on poor duct will underperform, so sometimes the honest recommendation includes duct work.
What you can count on instead of a price list

That is the part that actually protects you. A published range does not stop a bill growing halfway through a job. A quote you approved before work started does.
